Refund Policy
Last updated · August 28, 2026
FanMap is a digital, instantly-consumed product. Votes are applied to the leaderboard the moment we receive your payment, and any lead you build can be overtaken by rival fans a second later. Purchases are generally final. This policy explains the specific cases where we do issue refunds.
1. We refund automatically when…
- The payment was captured but the votes never appeared within 15 minutes and our logs confirm a webhook failure. Contact us with your Polar order ID.
- Double-charge for the same vote batch (rare, possible under network glitches). The duplicate is refunded within 3 business days.
- Underpayment / overcharge caused by a pricing bug on our side.
2. We consider refunds when…
- Your votes were removed by moderation for reasons you disagree with. Contact us within 7 days with the order ID; we'll review and either restore or refund.
- A pricing display bug caused you to be quoted materially less than you were charged.
3. We do NOT refund when…
- You changed your mind after the votes were counted.
- Rival fans overtook your club in a country you had led.
- You paid a very high amount and expected exclusivity — every country is contestable by design.
- Your vote was removed after violating our Terms of Service.
- Your bank charged you a foreign-exchange or convenience fee — that is between you and your bank.
4. Bonus and free votes
Bonus votes shown at checkout (“+10%”, “+25%”) are a promotional multiplier. If the paid portion is refunded, any bonus and free votes issued in the same transaction are also removed.
5. How to request
Email fanmap@gmail.com from the address you used at checkout. Include:
- Polar order ID (from your receipt email)
- Club and country involved, with approximate date/time
- Reason for the request
We aim to reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds hit your card within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
6. Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks cost us fees and can trigger merchant restrictions — we'll almost always resolve legitimate issues faster and cheaper via email.
7. Statutory rights
This policy does not affect any consumer rights you have under local law (e.g. EU Directive 2011/83 on Consumer Rights, KVKK in Türkiye, CCPA in California). Where local law grants a broader right, that law prevails.
